I Hate The New Real Estate Pros Episodes

I am really sorry RICHARD DAVIS, as much as I LOVED you guys in “Flip This House”, and even the “The Real Deal”. I really really did love your whole crew… but, this new show that you have running called “The Real Estate Pros” is horrible in my opinion. It really sucks, I hate it. Let me explain my thought process here:
First off, the show isn’t really even about “Real Estate” in the manner in which you have always portrayed it… you have always been a house flipper… and now the show is just about anything but real estate…
Next, you seriously don’t have the swagger that you used to have… we liked watching your show because you went around kicking everyones ass… now, you walk around like a broken man… again, I am sorry, but it’s just how I feel…
Lastly, just one question, why is Ginger always with you now? In the past, she was always running around in her little C class, and you had your suburban… but, now – you two are always rolling together… what’s the deal with that?

Anyway, no offense to you guys, I really hope your episodes improve over time… and I will still keep watching… but, at this point, I just don’t like what I have seen yet.

I found Armando Montelongo

So, as you know – I have been searching for Armando Montelongo on the internet for weeks now… and I finally found him. Armando is at http://www.armandomontelongo.com/opportunity.php – yep, the Montelongos are at it again… this time, they are pitching yet another get rich program related to housing, flipping, etc… Armando Montelongo and his wife Veronica Montelongo are shown in a video talking about their new program… so, has anyone purchased their new program? I would love to hear all about it.

What is Armando Montelongo up to in April 2009?

So, here I am wondering, what is Armando Montelongo up to today? I really haven’t heard anything from Armando in a while. The Montelongos have long been off television… since A&E cancelled their show? I am not sure if they did or not, but I do know that Flip This House hasn’t aired in a while.

So, has anyone heard or seen Armando Montelongo lately? I would really like to know what he is up to.

I can only assume that the Montelongo’s are out there making money… but, I really have not been following them lately.

The housing future

Is there anything less sexy right now than a House Flipping television show ? I have to tell you that my Tivo used to be filled with 20-30 episodes of these shows at any one time, and I could just sit all day and watch them and watch them… as regular “Joes” made thousands and sometimes even tens of thousands of dollars over and over, and with what appeared to be “ease”. I remember watching the lady who was so imcompetent that she took over a year to flip her house… this should have bankrupted her… instead, because she was so dumb lucky, she ended up making an additional 100 thousand dollars above what she originally was trying to make on the flip.

Those days are gone of course, and I wonder if true house flipping will ever return. I wonder if people who can’t afford mortgages will ever be handed them like candy… I wonder if regular folks will own three or four houses at one time, and will for a few months be “moguls”. It all seemed so easy… so unreal. Anyone could do it… so it seemed… everyone was doing it, so it seemed.

Here in 2009, most of us have a much different attitude about housing… we see it often as one of the worst assets… for thousands if not millions, we are upside down on our homes… something unheard of and even unthinkable just a few years ago… now, underwater and drowning in mortgages, Americans are rethinking the “American Dream” and even wondering whether or not owning your own home is a wise investment. Is it wise to purchase such an illiquid asset in todays economic climate ? When almost one in ten has recently lost a job ? When migration to other states or areas of the country is almost a foregone conclusion to get a job… what about a country where bad credit is going to be the norm… where the entire credit rating industry becomes just a moniker of bad grades… how will we as a nation deal with such adversity ?

I have been preaching doom and gloom for quite some time. My tone is unchanged… in fact it is my thought that we are headed much, much, much lower… probably DOW 2000 (yea two thousand), and I see housing prices falling back to 1992 levels. So, that house that you bought for $600,000 in Fontucky will be worth $85,000 in a couple of years. And even then, noone will actually buy it. It will just sit empty for years.

The stock market prognosticators will preach and scream at you to buy, buy, buy at every new low… ignoring the facts that unemployment continues to rise, the economy continues to contract, and our dollar continues to lose value against foreign currency. When the dust finally clears, an entire generation will be devestated and clamoring for socialism, and it will change the entire country for 100 years.

I am saddened by the fact that I will be telling my grandchildren one day about this time period… explaining how no one had jobs, people were losing their homes left and right. No one had any money. Everyone owed credit cards and mortgages out the ying yang… and everything the government did was either unfair (wall street financial bailout) or not effective (raising taxes and infrastructure spending). Socialism will be the final objective and the final desire of our country as the government closes its iron fist on the people while smiling at them and the people lift their open hands and take the government handouts while being shackled at the same time.

Sadness is what I feel. One day it all may change. Hopefully for the better. Who knows. Maybe none of this will happen. Perhaps, it will all turn out ok… I sure hope it does.

And I didn’t even mention 2012.

Will house flipping make a comeback ?

I have been noticing prices come down and down and still further down… now, the same house as mine down the street (with a pool, and a larger lot) is selling for less than I paid in 2003… now that is shocking… in fact, we are close to being able to cash flow some of these properties here in southern california.

With all these crazy price drops, you probably won’t believe your eyes… you will literally think your eyes are fooling you… and if you wear glasses, you should consider getting rid of your glasses and calling Dr. Robert T Lin I think that if you still wear glasses you really need to consider Lasik Los Angeles - you will be glad you did… and so will your eyes.

I have a realtor friend who says he is already finding good listings locally for under $150k, these are 3 bedroom, 2 bath houses that can really cashflow in todays market… I am really getting excited about the real estate market.

And in the beautiful city of Grand Terrace, near Loma Linda, Colton, San Bernardino, Redlands, Rialto, and Riverside, I have a sister in law who told me that she needed to find a place to tutor her 7 year old daughter… So, I said that I know of a great Tutoring Center In Grand Terrace, and that the people there at Academic Associates Grand Terrace, are wonderful people and will definitely be able to help tutor her seven year old. So, she called them, and later told me that for Tutoring Center In Grand Terrace, and for other local cities like Colton, Loma Linda, Redlands, Rialto, San Bernardino, High Grove, Riverside, and other nearby communities, people should contact Tutoring Center In Grand Terrace.

So, will I buy a house in Grand Terrace, or one of the surrounding cities ? I don’t know… I am not totally sure…

Armando Montelongo on youtube ?

Flippers, I could watch Armando Montelongo on Flip This House and YouTube all the time… He is so fricking hilarious… seriously you guys… I just laugh my head off… yes, I admit it, there is some jealousy involved… dude is such a pathetic loser, but he is just rolling in cash… only in America can a guy “roll into town on his last tank of gas” and be a celebrity on tv, making tons of money, selling stuff on tv, being guest speakers all over the place… oh yea, and by the way… to top it all off… he latest FLIP THIS HOUSE episodes are about him doing things other than Flipping Houses… you have to love it… dude is still so popular, that he can just put up a show, where he fixes up his brother in laws house, and call it a show… and you know what… the sucker that I am… I still watched…

Yep,

Budget Web Hosting

Ok, house flippers… are you considering setting up your own website ? If you are… then read on…

The other day, a good buddy of mine asked me how to setup his own website for his Real Estate business. He figured he needed a full on website to advertise his services, and collect leads and stuff… so, he asked me if I had heard about a good Budget Web Hosting company… So, I said… yeah, I know of a great Web Hosting company that could host his website… so, I emailed him back, and said try: www.nomonthlyfees.com – they are a great Budget Web Hosting company, and should be able to host his website and register his domain name without a problem. They are also great for blogs too!

Well, I hope this helped any real estate flippers, etc… that are looking for a Budget Web Hosting company to host their website at.

Homeowners Insurance

Protecting your home is as important as protecting yourself and family because they are all vulnerable to external forces, often beyond your control; by using some forward thinking and preparation, many events no matter how bad, can be dealt with. It is important that your home is protected from as many threats as possible, including those from criminals in addition to accidents or acts of nature. Should anything untoward happen to your home, the homeowner’s insurance policy will pay out the sum agreed by the insurance company if all payments towards the annual premium are current.

The usual house insurance policy will cover a number of situations as a standard feature like theft and damage to personal possessions, accidental damage, fire and acts of vandalism. Most policies have a deductible but considering the amount of money that may actually be paid out in the event of a major catastrophe then this amount is normally quite small in comparison.

For many the advent of the Internet has just meant that obtaining homeowner’s insurance is easier than it was with most insurers’ now owning websites. It doesn’t take that long to visit a decent number of websites to obtain quotes from all of them and see what you can get from each for the monthly premium they are asking.

Comparing insurance quotes, online or off is a good idea as just what the policy actually covers that is more important than the cost. Homeowners insurance will also be required by the mortgage provider as an assurance the property is protected financially in the event of damage.

Although monthly premiums may be an issue, it is quite common for discounts to be available for people starting a plan with a new insurer. You may also consider raising your deductible as the difference in premium cost between a 500 and a 1,000 dollar deductible can be considerable.

It is also worth arranging for your policy to ensure that new goods are bought at today’s prices otherwise replacing possessions may be very difficult. No-one wants to visit all the bargain shops and garage sales to try and replace possessions lost in a fire or burglary because they didn’t have a Replacement Value policy.

The value of each persons home is not just the building replacement but also the possessions and other important pieces that may have taken years to collect like furniture or works of art for instance. If you value your home and possessions, especially those with sentimental value, you will always ensure you have homeowners insurance.
